Five Bible Verses to Memorize

I have recently started a new practice of taking one bible verse from our Sunday service and meditate on it for the next week. This has really helped my faith grow tremendously over the last few weeks.

All the pictures are from our trip to Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island. It is so beautiful there, and by far our favorite island in Georgia.

Do you have a plan to memorize scripture?

How do you pick which verses to memorize?

Tallulah Falls and Weekend Wrap up

Saturday morning I had a hair appointment and H wanted to go to the splash pad so we got kind of a late start, but we wanted to go see something new.

We decided to go to Tallulah Falls. H is getting harder to entertain in the car and the ride there took about an hour longer than it was supposed to due to traffic on I75. There was quite a lot whining on the way there. We made it there pretty late so we were not able to do much. Also, I wasn't really thinking and H and I both wore sandles. Not the best for hiking in the mountains. We walked to a few of the different overlooks. The views of the gorge were amazing.

It was so humid and we were having to carry H a lot because she didn't like the dirt getting in her shoes. So we did about half a mile all together and decided that it was definitely worth a trip back late fall this year. We also decided that from now on, when we go do these trip we are going to leave earlier in the morning to hopefully miss a lot of the traffic.

Today has been a pretty typical Sunday. Grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning house, and we plan on going to the 4:30 church service and out to eat pizza for dinner!

How was your weekend?

My name is Kenda. I am a Texan who has been transplanted in Georgia (for the time being) due to my Air Force hubby (J). We have a two year old daughter (H), two dogs named Mercedes and Bentley, a cat named Shelby, and a fish named Mr. Blue. Besides loving my family, I have 3 main goals I have been working on recently:

  • Growing deeper in my faith and love for my God
  • Minimizing the chaos around me by purging and simplifying my life
  • Exploring this part of the country I have been moved to

About 11 - 12 months ago, my world was turned to utter chaos when I was told we would be moving to Georgia. I struggled a lot with it at first, but I think I am starting to come out on the other side! It is good because God is good. I have changed and grown so much in the last year, and I want to start documenting and sharing my experiences.
